The Diversity Scholarship Foundation has been committed to providing scholarships to diverse and deserving law students who have maintained a good GPA and are actively supporting diversity related programs. The dearth of diverse lawyers begins before law school admissions and stems from a variety of factors. Advancing diversity in the legal profession, and increasing inclusion and equity among the bar and bench, requires attention to all facets of the educational process. Providing financial resources to law students from diverse backgrounds who excel at their studies and actively support diversification of the law is a basic way to ensure diversification of the legal profession.
